Buckhorn Homestead was established in 2014 with the purchase of our first goats, a Nigerian Dwarf named Honey, and a Mini Alpine named Iris.
We got the name from an old 1900's schoolhouse of the same name that used to be on the property. We imagine they called it that because of the abundance of buckhorn plantain that still grows on the property today.
